About the course
This introductory online course will teach you the fundamentals of statistics for summarising and evaluating data generated in the laboratory. Designed for people with no or limited knowledge of statistics, this short course will build your confidence in handling data. The course focuses on applications of statistics in analytical laboratories, is highly interactive and includes opportunities to practice calculations using Excel. You will also receive 6 months free access to additional online training resources to allow you to reinforce the knowledge gained during the course.
This course is one of a series of introductory-level courses aimed at raising awareness and providing a basic understanding of key topics related to ensuring the quality of measurement data. The other courses in the series cover method validation and measurement uncertainty.

Course format
This is an online course comprising 2 x 3 hr sessions delivered via MS Teams. The sessions start at 9:30 and 13:30 GMT.

It is suitable for those with no prior knowledge of the subject. The course can be used to gain a basic level of knowledge before progressing to more advanced training, if required.
